Phils to likely focus on small deals at Meetings

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — There is plenty of speculation about plenty of players and teams entering this week’s Winter Meetings at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
The Phillies are not one of those teams because they were relatively busy last month. They acquired left fielder Howie Kendrick and right-hander Pat Neshek in trades with the Dodgers and Astros, respectively.
