Beka Bekauri Former international Power forward Beka Bekauri (207-PF-91) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league’s second-best Kutaisi and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.The 25-year old power forward had a double-double of 23 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat Cactus Tbilisi (#5, 3-4) 93-82. Kutaisi maintains the 2nd position in Georgian Superleague. They are still close to the very top. Kutaisi would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team’s last game Bekauri had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. It’s his second year at Kutaisi and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Bekauri has impressive league stats.
