Braves agree to deals with Recker, Rodriguez

ATLANTA — The Braves acquired right-hander Chris Withrow and left-hander Paco Rodriguez from the Dodgers with the hope they would make a smooth recovery from Tommy John surgery and regain the promise they had shown during the early portion of their respective careers.
While Rodriguez will continue to be a part of Atlanta’s bullpen, the team decided to non-tender Withrow on Friday, making him a free agent. The Braves agreed to one-year deals with Rodriguez and catcher Anthony Recker, avoiding arbitration. Catcher Tuffy Gosewisch avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year deal on Wednesday.
The Braves tendered a contract to Gold Glove Award-winning outfielder Ender Inciarte, left-handed reliever Ian Krol and potential closer Arodys Vizcaino.
