Tyler Larson American Tyler Larson (190-G-91) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league’s leader Barons Riga and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.The 25-year old guard had the game-high 31 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Barons Riga in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Liepaja/Triobet (#4, 3-3) 111-106. The game was between two of the league’s top four teams. It allowed Barons Riga to jump to the first place in the Baltic League. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Barons Riga has a very solid 4-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team’s last game Larson had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Barons Riga’s top player in his first season with the team. The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 30-year old Ukrainian power forward Andriy Agafonov (208-PF-86, agency: AproK Sports Group) of P.Zvaigzdes.
