Bellew ‘finalizing’ plans for Goodison Park fight

Tony Bellew is set to challenge Ilunga Makabu for the vacant WBC world cruiserweight title at Goodison Park on Sunday, May 29.
Details of the fight — Bellew’s first crack at a world cruiserweight title — were given away by council notices around Everton’s ground about the football club’s application for a boxing licence to stage an event next month.
Bellew (26-2-1, 16 KOs) then hinted that the fight had been made for the home of his beloved Toffees on Twitter.
