AntonioBallard American Swingman Antonio Ballard (193-G/F-88) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Geneve Lions, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.The 28-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Massagno (#9, 2-4) 81-74. It allowed Geneve Lions to consolidate first place in the Swiss LNA. Geneve Lions have a solid 5-1 record. In the team’s last game Ballard had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Geneve Lions’ top player in his first season with the team. Former Miami University, Ohio star has very solid stats this year. Ballard is league’s best scorer averaging so far 24.8ppg. Ballard is in league’s top in and averages impressive 59.7% FGP. Worth to mention Ballard played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.The second best player in last round’s games was 26-year old American Travis Taylor (203-F-90) of league’s second-best Fribourg.
