Thomas vander Mars Dutch Thomas van der Mars (208-C-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league’s second-best Rapla and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.The 26-year old center had a double-double of 17 points and twenty four rebounds, while his team beat Parnu (#7, 3-5) 75-62. Rapla is placed at 2nd position in Estonian Alexela KML. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Rapla will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. van der Mars turned to be Rapla’s top player in his first season with the team.
