Browne test result ‘bitter blow’

Lucas Browne’s promoters are investigating the Australian heavyweight boxer’s second positive doping result in a year, saying it is “a bitter blow” after his previous exoneration.
Hatton Promotions issued a statement saying it was aware of reports Browne had failed a test undertaken recently as part of the World Boxing Council’s Clean Boxing Program.
Browne’s A sample came back positive for the banned substance ostarine – which is used to aid muscle recovery – following a recent test in Australia by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association. He is entitled to request that the B sample be examined.
