Chase Fieler American Chase Fieler (203-F-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league’s leader Groningen and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.The 24-year old forward had the game-high 18 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Groningen in his team’s victory, helping them to crush Dukes UDB (#7, 2-6) with 22-point margin 87-65. It allowed Groningen to jump to the first place in the Dutch Eredivisie. Groningen have a solid 7-1 record. It’s Fieler’s second year at Groningen and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Florida Gulf Coast University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Fieler is in league’s top in rebounds (5th best: 8.1rpg) and averages solid 1.8bpg and 67.4% FGP.The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 28-year old American guard J.T. Tiller (188-G-88) of Zwolle. Tiller impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Zwolle was edged by slightly lower-ranked Amsterdam (#4, 5-3) 83-80.
