De Jong among 3 added to Dodgers’ 40-man roster

LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers selected the contracts of right-handed pitchers Chase De Jong and Jacob Rhame and catcher Kyle Farmer on Friday, adding them to the 40-man roster and protecting them from next month’s Rule 5 Draft.
The 22-year-old De Jong, the Dodgers’ 17th-ranked prospect, was the Texas League Pitcher of the Year after posting league bests with 14 wins and a 1.02 WHIP and was second with a 2.86 ERA for Double-A Midland. Originally a second-round pick of Toronto in 2012, he was acquired for …
