Svendborg was defeated by SISU in a tough game in Copenhagen 72-78. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-15. But Svendborg won third quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SISU made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international guard Anders Haas (185-92, college: Barry) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) contributed with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Darious Moten (199-92, college: Mercer) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for Svendborg. SISU maintains seventh place with 2-6 record. Svendborg at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Randers. SISU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Svendborg will play on the road against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Ligaen top team – Horsens IC (7-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Naestved (2-5) 95-89. American players dominated the game. Guard Lawrence Alexander (190-91, college: N.Dakota St.) stepped up and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Myles Mack chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Deon Mitchell (186-93, college: N.Iowa) with 23 points and 5 assists. Undefeated Horsens IC have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Naestved at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Horsens IC will play against Svendborg (#4) on the road in the next round. Naestved will have a break next round. The game in Randers was also quite interesting. 4th placed Horsholm (4-3) played at the court of fifth ranked Randers (5-4). Randers defeated Horsholm 103-91 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Horsholm. Marinus Mouboe nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Randers’ coach Morten Hansen used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mikael Nielsen came up with 31 points for Horsholm in the defeat. Randers moved-up to third place, which they share with Svendborg. Loser Horsholm dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Randers will meet at home bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Horsholm will play against Svendborg and it may …
