MRN Booth Gives Dale Jr. New Perspective

Share: Dale Earnhardt Jr. has enjoyed being on Sprint Cup broadcasts the past two weeks and has a new perspective of the challenges it brings, especially on the radio side. For the second consecutive week, Earnhardt was in the TV booth for NBCSN in Martinsville. But at Talladega Superspeedway, he joined the Motor Racing Network for a portion of the Hellmann’s 500. The moment was particularly exciting for Earnhardt because he grew up listening to just about every race on the radio through MRN. His Talladega experience took part in the newly named “Barney Hall Booth,” which was unveiled a few weeks ago to honor the late Hall of Fame MRN broadcaster. “Watching live and being in the booth is a real thrill,” Earnhardt said this past weekend at Martinsville Speedway. “Seeing the MRN booth was equally as impressive because those guys have a little bit tougher job, painting out what is happening to the public.
