NicholasSpires 22-year old center Nicholas Spires (210-C-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Sodertalje and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.He had the game-high 18 points adding nine rebounds for Sodertalje in his team’s victory, helping them to crush, the league’s bottom-ranked team Malbas (#9, 0-5) with 22-point margin 74-52. Sodertalje is placed at 2nd position in Swedish league. They are still close to the very top. Sodertalje would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. It’s Spires’ second year at Sodertalje and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Spires has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (5th best: 8.4rpg) and averages solid 2.4bpg and 58.6% FGP.Second best performed player last round was Joakim Kjellbom (212-C-79) of Norrkoping.
