MargirisNormantas Guard Margiris Normantas (193-G-96) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Perlas-MRU, receiving a Eurobasket.com NKL Player of the Week award for round 8.The 20-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, six rebounds and six assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Zalgiris II (#9, 3-5) 90-78. Perlas-MRU maintains the 3rd position in Lithuania NKL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Perlas-MRU will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team’s last game Normantas had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. It’s his second year at Perlas-MRU and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Margiris Normantas has solid league stats.
