Tire Trouble for Edwards

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Carl Edwards championship hopes took a big hit in Sunday’s Goody’s Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway when he cut down a tire, causing damage to his machine, and relegating him to a 36th-place finish. Edwards started seventh but fell back in the field early before rebounding to run in the mid-teens by Lap 200 and in the top 10 by halfway.
