An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aarhus. Top-ranked Bakken faced 3rd ranked Svendborg. Host Bakken (4-0) defeated guests from Svendborg (3-2) 101-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Svendborg. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 56-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Svendborg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86) fired 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) produced 31 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bakken have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Svendborg at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Bakken will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Svendborg will play at home against Stevnsgade and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident. Naestved can celebrate their first win this season after one consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Stevnsgade, where they outplayed Stevnsgade (0-4) 97-70. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Deon Mitchell contributed with 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naestved’s coach Milan Skobalj felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Davie Champagnie (205-90, college: Martin Methodist) replied with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for Stevnsgade. Naestved (1-1) left bottom position moving up to sixth place. Stevnsgade at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Naestved will play against higher ranked Horsholm (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Stevnsgade will play against Svendborg (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.In the last game of round 4 SISU was defeated by Randers in a road game 83-79.
