La Liga: Aspas at the double

Iago Aspas scored twice as Celta Vigo beat Deportivo La Coruna 4-1 in a Galician derby in La Liga on Sunday.
The game was delicately poised 1-1 at half-time with Raul Albentosa’s first Deportivo goal quickly cancelling out Hugo Mallo’s powerful strike.
But Celta took control in a fiery contest of eight bookings after Aspas had dispatched a controversial penalty on the hour.
Sidnei was harshly adjudged to have handled Daniel Wass’ header. The ball rebounded off Sidnei’s thigh and on to his arm, but Aspas made no mistake as he converted the penalty off a post.
