Serbia – Stefan Fundic gets MVP of the Week award for Serbian KLS

StefanFundic Talented Stefan Fundic (199-F-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for league’s leader Beovuk 72 and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1.The 22-year old forward had a double-double of 23 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team beat Konstantin (#8, 0-1) 89-83. Thanks to this victory Beovuk 72 moved-up to the 1st position in Serbian KLS. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Beovuk 72 won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round.The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 29-year old guard Svetozar Popovic (195-G-87) of Spartak. Popovic impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Spartak to another comfortable win outscoring Sloga (0-1) 87-62.
