Turkey – Shaquielle McKissic gets MVP of the Week award for Turkish BSL

ShaquielleMcKissic American Shaquielle McKissic (196-F-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for Usak and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1.The 26-year old forward had a double-double of 30 points and twelve rebounds, while his team edged out Fenerbahce (#10, 0-1) 71-70. Usak is placed at 7th position in Turkish BSL. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Usak won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game McKissic had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range.The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 29-year old American forward Derrick Brown (202-F-87) of league’s best team Anadolu Efes. Brown impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Anadolu Efes to another comfortable win outscoring Istanbul BBSK (0-1) 95-67.
