Latvia – Agnis Cavars’ triple-double lands him LBL2 Player of the Week award

Agnis Cavars Forward Agnis Cavars (196-F-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Kekava, receiving a Eurobasket.com LBL2 Player of the Week award for round 1.The 30-year old player recorded a triple-double of 24 points adding also 15 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team crushed Jelgava (#5, 0-1) with 19-point margin 97-78. It allowed Kekava to consolidate first place in the Latvia LBL2. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Kekava won both games without losing any. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Cavars had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kekava’s top player in his first season with the team. Agnis Cavars has solid league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (4th best: 11.5rpg), assists (4th best: 7.0apg) and averages impressive 65.0% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line.
