Jaime Smith American Point guard Jaime Smith (190-PG-89) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Khimik, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.The 27-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, five rebounds and seven assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Mykolaiv (#6, 2-2) 84-69. It allowed Khimik to consolidate first place in the Ukrainian Superleague. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Khimik already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team’s last game Smith had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Khimik’s top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Alabama in Huntsville star has very solid stats this year. Smith is league’s best scorer averaging so far 19.8ppg. Smith is in league’s top in assists (6th best: 4.5apg) and averages impressive 53.8% from behind 3-point line.The second best player in last round’s games was young American Stacy Davis (198-F-94) of Cherkasy. …
