Share: CONCORD, N.C. – Denny Hamlin led 52 laps in Sunday’s Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but lost an engine on Lap 308 of the 334 lap race and finished 30th. Hamlin’s engine went south while running in the top-five and trying to chase down eventual race winner Jimmie Johnson. “Just lost an engine there,” Hamlin said. “We hadn’t had one in a long time with TRD and Toyota.
