Tests reveal Liriano has mild concussion

Blue Jays reliever Francisco Liriano was revealed to have a mild concussion after tests on Saturday, according to MLB.com’s Gregor Chisholm. Liriano was hit in the head-and-neck area by a Carlos Gomez line drive during the eighth inning of Toronto’s 5-3 win on Friday in Game 2 of the American League Division Series in Texas.
Liriano was immediately removed from the game and walked off the field under his own power. He was taken to a hospital before being cleared to fly back to Toronto with the team. Game 3 of the ALDS is in Rogers Centre, Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT on TBS in the United States and Sportsnet (English) and TVA (French) in Canada.
