A determined performance from Morocco was enough to hold Gabon to a barren draw in their Group C opener on Sunday in Franceville. The visitors survived several onslaughts from their host thanks to their resolute backline and the agility of goalkeeper El Kajoui Monir.   The first half was characterised by midfield action from both sides with little to count as far as chances at goal was concerned.
