Sweden – Gustav Sundstrom gets MVP of the Week award for Swedish Basketettan

GustavSundstrom Gustav Sundstrom (197-G-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for IK Eos and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Basketettan Player of the Week award for round 1.The 25-year old guard had a double-double of 37 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team beat RIG Mark (#12, 0-1) 97-86. Thanks to this victory IK Eos moved-up to the 2nd position in their group in Swedish Basketettan. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and IK Eos won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Sundstrom turned to be IK Eos’ top player in his first season with the team. Sundstrom has impressive league stats. He is league’s best scorer averaging so far 37.0ppg. Sundstrom is in league’s top in rebounds (2nd best: 15.0rpg), assists (5th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 52.2% FGP.The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young point guard Jonatan Arvidsson (180-PG-98) of BG Lulea.
