Nunez not on NL Wild Card Game roster

NEW YORK — Still nursing a right hamstring strain, Giants third baseman Eduardo Nunez was not included on the Giants’ roster for the National League Wild Card Game (ESPN, 5 p.m. PT) that was announced on Wednesday morning.
The Giants can add Nunez for the NL Division Series, which begins on Friday in Chicago against the Cubs, if they advance against the Mets. But they also had hoped to capitalize on Nunez’s considerable speed against Mets starter Noah Syndergaard, whose pitching motion leaves him vulnerable to basestealers.
