Pillar lays out to rob Machado of extra bases

TORONTO — Kevin Pillar has made a name for himself with diving catches in center field, and he was up to his old tricks in the American League Wild Card Game on Tuesday night.
Pillar ranged deep into right-center field during the fourth inning to rob Manny Machado of extra bases. The potential Gold Glove candidate ran full speed into the gap and then made a headfirst diving grab that brought the sold-out crowd to its feet.
