Czech Republic – Martin Klimes claims Czech Republic 1Liga weekly honour

MartinKlimes Experienced Martin Klimes (203-C-83) had an amazing evening in the last round for league’s leader Slavoj Litom. and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 1.The 33-year old center had a double-double of 19 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat Sokol Pisek (#10, 0-1) 75-68. It allowed Slavoj Litom. to jump to the first place in the Czech Republic 1Liga. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Slavoj Litom. won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Klimes has many years of experience at Slavoj Litom., through which he has constantly improved. University of Vermont graduate has very impressive stats this year. The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 38-year old power forward Rostislav Pelikan (209-F/C-78) of Novy Jicin.
