Puel ‘angry’ with Austin miss

Claude Puel admits he was angry with Charlie Austin after he tried to chip Kasper Schmeichel as Southampton drew 0-0 with Leicester.
The striker had hit the post with a good effort early in the first half and looked a threat in front of watching caretaker England manager Gareth Southgate.
He should have done much better in the second, however, when he was put in on goal but opted to lift the ball over Schmeichel when he was already closing the forward down and leaving little space.
Had Austin scored, Southampton would have been on course for a win they would have deserved and his miss left Puel frustrated at taking a point instead.
Asked if he was annoyed at the former QPR player, Puel said: “Yeah, because he made a bad decision. The solution is it is easier on the ground to put the ball in. It’s a shame.
“I think we have made a very good game. …
