Doug Baldwin Says He Received Death Threats After Advocating for Social Change

In a 60 Minutes Sports interview set to air Tuesday on Showtime, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin said he received death threats for speaking out regarding shooting deaths involving African-Americans and police.
“I did [receive death threats]. I had a few. A couple of people told me to watch my back,” Baldwin said about the reaction to his activism (h/t Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times).
The 28-year-old wideout has publicly supported San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his decision to protest during the national anthem.
