C.J. Spiller to Seahawks: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

After being released by the New Orleans Saints, C.J. Spiller found a new home with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, according to NFL reporter Rand Getlin.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network explained the reasoning while confirming the news:
The #Seahawks, in need of a healthy RB, are signing free agent CJ Spiller, source said. An audition that’s cost effective.

As Rapoport previously reported, the 29-year-old running back worked out for the New York Jets on Tuesday, but instead, he will join a team that suddenly needs depth at running back. According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, starter Thomas Rawls will miss an extended period of time with a cracked bone in his fibula.
