Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is expecting a tough atmosphere in a special stadium when he faces Celtic in Glasgow in the UEFA Champions League for the first time on Wednesday. He also insisted on Tuesday he’s not focused on breaking the records in sight thanks to the club’s current winning run, but he did offer positive news on injured stars Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany.
Guardiola’s Citizens will arrive at Celtic Park as heavy favourites for their Group C match, after winning 10 games in all competitions since he took over, while Celtic were humiliated 7-0 in Barcelona last time out in this tournament.
Still, Guardiola is wary of the famously raucous atmosphere at the home of the Hoops. He revealed he’s sought the opinions of players old and new on what to expect, per Celtic:
