Premier League Table: Results, Updated Standings from Sunday’s Week 6 Matches

West Ham United remain 18th in the Premier League table after a 3-0 home defeat against Southampton on Sunday. It’s the Hammers’ fifth league defeat of the season, and the third in all competitions at their new London Stadium.

Yet, while the Hammers are suffering, the Saints are enjoying a terrific run under new manager Claude Puel. Goals from Charlie Austin, Dusan Tadic and James Ward-Prowse moved them into ninth place, just four points out of the top six.

Problems up front have come at the worse time for West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, who was already dealing with a myriad of issues at the back.

Nobody has conceded more goals than these Hammers, who have now been breached 16 times in the league, per the division’s official site. Austin was the first on the sheet for the Saints, before the impressive Tadic finished a slick counter with a flourish.
