Rooney: I’ll ignore ‘rubbish’

Wayne Rooney says a lot of the criticism of him is “rubbish” and vows to give his best wherever Jose Mourinho plays him for Manchester United.
United have suffered three defeats in their last four games, with Rooney playing the full 90 minutes in losses to Manchester City and Watford.
Although Rooney is just three goals short of equalling Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time United record of 249, critics have suggested he should be taken out of the side, with Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both having performed well this season.
However, the 30-year-old has insisted he is used to being under such scrutiny and will not let negative talk surrounding him affect his performances.
