Perez: It was a special effort from myself

After Force India went back ahead of Williams on the Constructors’ Championship standings, Sergio Perez claimed that he put in a special effort to claim the team’s only points.
Perez, who started P17 following his eight-place grid penalty, went on a 36-lap stint on the soft tyre compound to give himself a fighting chance to break into the top ten at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday.
