‘Shoeless Joe’ author Kinsella dies at 81

Author W.P. Kinsella, whose 1982 novel “Shoeless Joe” was adapted into the film “Field of Dreams,” has died at age 81.
Kinsella’s literary agency confirmed to the Vancouver Sun that the Canadian writer died Friday in Hope, British Columbia.
