Further inspection at Yarmouth

An inspection will be held at 9am ahead of racing at Yarmouth on Wednesday.

Officials will check on a false patch of soft ground, which is believed to have been caused by leak in an underground irrigation pipe, between the five- and four-furlong markers down the home straight.

While it is expected that racing will go ahead as planned, a decision was taken by management at the course to abandon the five-furlong handicap which was scheduled to take place at 5.05pm due to concerns over the area of ground in question.
