Newman Blasts Stewart

Ryan Newman didn’t hold back any emotions in his anger toward Tony Stewart after a late race accident Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway. The duo got together with 37 laps left in the Federated Auto Parts 400 in what triggered a multi-car accident that brought out the red flag when several other drivers were involved. Once he was released from the infield care center, Newman let loose on his former boss and teammate. “I don’t think there was any reason other than him just being bipolar and having anger issues,” Newman said. “Google ‘Tony Stewart,’ you’ll see all kinds of things he’s done. Look it up on YouTube. “I guess he thought he was in a sprint car again, didn’t want to control his anger. We’ll keep fighting like we always do. It’s unfortunate. Not the end we wanted….just disappointing that you have somebody old like that that should be retired the way he drives.
