Prospect Albies reportedly has fractured right elbow

ATLANTA — Ozzie Albies’ season ended on Wednesday night, when he fouled a pitch off his right elbow during Double-A Mississippi’s opening game against Pensacola in the Southern League playoffs. The elbow is fractured, according to a report on AJC.com.
The highly regarded prospect was evaluated by one of Dr. James Andrews’ associates on Thursday because the noted surgeon was out of town.
