Braves prospect Albies fractures right elbow

ATLANTA — Ozzie Albies’ season ended on Wednesday night, after he fractured his right elbow when he fouled off a pitch during Double-A Mississippi’s opening game against Pensacola in the Southern League playoffs.
The highly regarded prospect was evaluated by one of Dr. James Andrews’ associates on Thursday because the noted surgeon was out of town.
