Gallo rejoins Rangers; Scheppers activated from DL

SEATTLE — The Rangers added three more players to their September roster, recalling infielder Joey Gallo and outfielder Jared Hoying from Triple-A Round Rock and activating right-handed reliever Tanner Scheppers from the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday.
Scheppers has been sidelined all season while recovering from left knee surgery. He allowed one run in eight innings over eight appearances on a medical rehabilitation assignment with Round Rock and Double-A Frisco.
