Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest on Isco and Alvaro Morata Rumours

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly left the door open for Tottenham Hotspur to make a move for Isco, while rivals Atletico Madrid tried to sign Alvaro Morata for a whopping £60 million but were rejected.
Los Blancos’ main transfer activity has been completed, with no new signings expected before the end of the summer, but players could still leave the club in the coming days. Marca (h/t Sport Witness) report Isco is one such player, picking up on rumours linking him with Spurs which surfaced at the weekend.
Per the report, Zidane ruled out a James Rodriguez exit but did no such thing for Isco. Tottenham want the Spain international on loan, which could prove difficult, as he has just two years left on his contract and his value on the open market could plummet next summer as a result.
The 24-year-old has been a valuable member of Los Blancos since moving to the club from Malaga in June 2013, but his playing time saw a sharp decline last season, as Zidane didn’t seem to trust the midfielder.
Isco and Rodriguez both took a back seat to Lucas Vazquez, and the emergence of Marco Asensio over the summer further complicates matters. Transfer speculation has been almost constant, and Yahoo Sport UK’s Andrew Gaffney doesn’t think either player should count on their luck changing anytime soon:
