Ty Lawson to Kings: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

A miserable 2015-16 season sent Ty Lawson out on the open market looking for a chance to rejuvenate his career. The Sacramento Kings reportedly offered that salvation Sunday, signing the veteran point guard to a new deal.
Citing league sources, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported Lawson and the Kings agreed to a one-year deal. Wojnarowski noted the New Orleans Pelicans were also interested in the guard, but he met with the Kings on Saturday and chose Sacramento.
Lawson, 28, split last season between the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers. He finished with averages of 5.7 points and 3.6 assists per game, setting career lows in nearly every major category.
