Feliz, Sipp tagged for 5 runs in finale loss

HOUSTON — The Astros’ 10-4 loss to the Rays Sunday afternoon was much closer than the final score indicates, but a really rough stretch for relief pitchers Michael Feliz and Tony Sipp kept Houston from making a comeback.
After rallying from a four-run deficit in the fourth, the Astros only trailed by one run, but all of that changed when Feliz entered the game in the eighth. The rookie right-hander quickly gave up a single and two-run homer to put the Astros down, 6-3.
“Those are generally pitch execution,” manager A.J. Hinch said, “but there’s also the other side. They’ve got pretty good players.”
Feliz managed to get the next two outs before allowing singles to Tim Beckham and Luke Maile, which ended his night. He was relieved by Sipp.
