Bradley, 4-run 1st propel D-backs over Reds

PHOENIX — Even with their top two hitters on the bench, the D-backs had no trouble swinging the bats on Sunday. They used a four-run first inning to take an early lead and Yasmany Tomas padded it with a pinch-hit, three-run homer in an 11-2 win over the Reds in the series finale at Chase Field.
Jean Segura was out due to illness and Paul Goldschmidt took a scheduled rest day. In their absence, Welington Castillo drove in four runs to cap Arizona’s series victory and finish a seven-game homestand with a 4-3 mark. Tomas’ three-run blast in the sixth was his team-high 27th home run. Starter Archie Bradley (5-8) notched the win, allowing two runs on five hits over six innings.
