LaLiga Table 2016 Week 2: Standings and Final Scores After Sunday

It is always difficult to get a full picture of a league after just a couple of matches, but there have been some interesting results already in LaLiga.
Week 2 featured expected wins from Real Madrid and Barcelona to stay perfect, although Atletico Madrid hasn’t been as fortunate with a pair of draws that could cost it.
Meanwhile, Las Palmas is the surprise leader on the table at this early portion of the season.

Sunday Recap
Although it’s too early in the year to be checking the standings, Barcelona knows when Real Madrid wins, it has to win as well. After Toni Kroos led Real Madrid to a victory over Celta Vigo on Saturday, that meant the pressure was on Barcelona on Sunday.
The matchup against Athletic Bilbao wasn’t always pretty. Barca held possession for a high portion of the match, but struggled to finish in the final third—a problem that was exacerbated without Neymar in the lineup.
It was able to break through in the 21st minute when Ivan Rakitic headed home a beautiful cross from Arda Turan, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.
