TORONTO — Major League Baseball’s lone Canadian team brought out the brooms on Baseball Canada Day at Rogers Centre, as the Toronto Blue Jays swept away the Twins with a 9-6 victory on Sunday, handing the Twins their season-high 10th consecutive loss.

Toronto’s second come-from behind victory in as many days was fueled by Josh Donaldson, who slammed three home runs, including a two-run shot in the bottom of the seventh to give the Blue Jays the lead for good. Jose Bautista also recorded his first three-hit game of the season, while Troy Tulowitzki added a solo shot of his own to give the Blue Jays a 4-2 record on their six-game homestand.

The victory moves the Blue Jays a game and a half ahead of the Red Sox atop the American League East, pending the outcome of Boston’s contest against Kansas …
