Manchester City moved to the top of the Premier League table Sunday following a 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium and brought an end to Matchday 3.

A lot of time remains in the 2016-17 campaign, but it’s a nice feather in the cap for manager Pep Guardiola to have three wins in his first three matches at City ahead of the international break.

Below is a look at this week’s full results, in addition to the league table and scoring charts.

Sunday Recap

Around this time last year, former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard criticized what he believed was an inability for Raheem Sterling to consistently finish his chances. On Sunday, Sterling registered a brace in City’s 3-1 win.

The 21-year-old opened the scoring in the seventh minute after receiving a cross from Nolito. Sterling added another in the second minute of second-half injury time. It was a nifty piece of finishing as he rounded West Ham goalkeeper Adrian near the end line and then poked the ball inside the left post.

Sterling didn’t have a poor first season at the Etihad but didn’t perform at a level many expected him to after he broke through with Liverpool at such a young age. So far this year, no player has looked better under Guardiola:
