Rory MacDonald calls the UFC ‘boring’: ‘There’s no personality there’

A year ago, Rory MacDonald was just minutes away from becoming the new UFC welterweight champion. Now, having lost two straight, the 27-year-old Canadian is the latest major UFC free agent to head over to Bellator MMA. MacDonald’s contract was completed after a unanimous decision setback to Stephen Thompson in June, and he had every intention of testing the free agent market, particularly after negotiations for a new contract failed earlier in the year.
