Spencer struggles in Japan

The World All-Star Jockeys’ challenge at Sapporo in Japan proved to be a frustrating weekend for Jamie Spencer.
The Irishman failed to finish better than eighth in his four rides over the two weekend contest and he was forced to pull up one of Sunday’s mounts when his mount lost his action.
Spencer’s experience was in stark contrast to that enjoyed by Joao Moreira who left the track having equalled Yutake Take’s record for consecutive winners at a Japan Racing Association meeting.
